• Back History: A golden boy of Hollywood, Joe joined the U.S.A.A.F. and became a pilot. Old friends with Michael Owens (they went to University together), he's astonishingly unpretentious about his good looks and his stardom. He also has a hide "like tissue paper" according to Victoria Craig-Bell. He knew that he would only fall in love once and that he would know the minute he saw her ... true indeed, for when he first met Lisa St. Andrews he shocked everyone by proposing to her the same day. At first, Lisa was not receptive to his proposal. Eventually however, she returned his feelings. Later on, Joe was wounded in the head during a mission and one side of his face was scarred. However, the scarring was not as bad as it could have been. Although they got married secretly, Joe was not destined to live out a happy life with Lisa, for she was killed by a strafing plane.
